Our Boardmember Tilly Stroosnijder was one of the first Dutch Policewomen who was sent on a peacekeeping mission.
Together with Tilly, ENP wants to take the initiative to draw up an iventory about women who have been or still are involved in such missions, and women police officers who are eager to participate. Our target is to establish a database in order to exchange knowledge and experience and, by doing so, motivate and inform possible candidates as we are on the assumption that more motivated, qualified female police officers are needed in such missions!
I hope this website will bring you into a world in which you can find ideas, stimulations and motivation and new challenges in which you can recognize yourself. In September 2003 the executive board of the European Police Network will bring a visit to Sarajevo. During that time we will also held a conference on Gender Mainstreaming issues in Sarajevo. * It took me two years to find the road and I hope that your way into missions will be much easier and shorter through this website in which you find participants, soul mates, information and support if you want and when you need it and don't hesitate to use it. |
