General Board

Guidelines - General Board Membership

Each Police and/or Law Enforcement organisation in Europe can apply for membership, whereby it is also possible to nominate a candidate for the General Board and/or Executive Board. For this purpose the applying organisation receives an application form, together with a framework of conditions that goes along with the delegation of a General Board Member.

The member organisation:

provides financial support for the representative to fulfil the role of General Board Member;
facilitates attendance at the annual board meeting;
facilitates attendance of at least one ENP development activity per year, in addition to the annual board meeting;
gives the member time to fulfil tasks relating their membership;
supports ENP activities.

In case a new organisation applies for membership of the ENP, the Executive Board will scrutinise the application and make a recommendation to the present General Board who will decide upon the application. If the organisation is accepted for membership, they will also be eligible to take part in any elections.

It is advisable for the nominated person to have a good knowledge of the English language as all meetings will be held in English.
